A boy and a girl meet on the beach during their summer vacation. Even though she was only thirteen and he was fourteen …….. hearts collided and a love was formed. Was it puppy love? Let’s see!
The rest of their vacation they were inseparable ! Before Mitch went back to Mississippi and Susannah went back to Alabama, they exchanged phone numbers. For the rest of the year … they talked EVERY single night on the telephone for hours at a time!
The next summer, their families scheduled their vacations back at the beach at the same time so the two could see each other again. Like the summer before, they were inseparable! Again, they both went back to their homes.
During the next ten years, Susannah called him every birthday and on holidays. But with Mitch not returning the “the love” as much and as often as she wanted, Susannah didn’t call him on his next birthday. She just stopped calling altogether. Mitch realized that concerned him and began to think about it … and continued to think about it.
Two weeks later, Susannah got a message on none other than Facebook! He wrote her that he just finished watching “The Fast and The Furious” and it made him think about her and asked me if she would call again! Susannah decided to give him one last chance and said ….. yes.
After three nights of four hour phone conversations, it seemed liked they had picked up as though they had never left off. They decided to see each other as friends.
Well … so much for friends! Three weeks into the rekindled relationship, they both were into “I love you”! A couple of months later the “M” word was spoken !
What began as “puppy love” turned into “true love” and Mr. & Mrs. Mitch Moreland on November 13, 2011!
